VOLUNTEER

Give the Gift of Time

BE THERE WHEN IT COUNTS There are many ways to make a difference in the life of our hospice patients. Fix a meal, drive a car, grocery shop or just listen to stories of days gone by. Volunteer opportunities at Wilshire Hospice are many and varied. You can choose to: work in the office or directly with patients and their families; a few hours a week, a couple hours a month, or a one time event.

Training is easy and free. No medical background is necessary.

HOW TO GET STARTED Volunteers get started with a meaningful twenty-hour volunteer training currently being held online. Volunteers are needed in all areas of San Luis Obispo County and Northern Santa Barbara County, including Spanish-speaking volunteers. Our training affords you with an opportunity for personal growth while equipping you with the skills you will need for a meaningful volunteer experience.

*Volunteers are provided with the appropriate protection and training to keep volunteer and patient safe
