Admins Intake Clerk - Hospice and Home Health 

Wilshire Hospice is looking for a full time admins intake clerk for Hospice and Home Health. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Patient Care Services or Admissions/Scheduling Supervisor, the Admissions/Intake Clerk is responsible for recording and accepting referrals; determining the level of care necessary; verifying insurance coverage; and, acting as a liaison with referral sources and third party payors. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possesses the ability to learn medical terms.
  • Demonstrates ability to use word processing equipment.
  • Is knowledgeable regarding reimbursement mechanisms -- Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private pay. Demonstrates an interest in and ability to work effectively with the community.

Bereavement Manager - Full Time 

Wilshire Hospice's Center for Education and Grief Therapy is accepting applications for a full time Bereavement Manager. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Patient Care Services, the Bereavement Manager monitors/assures, supervises and manages the Hospice Bereavement Program including bereavement followup, risk assessment, information and referrals, and patient advocacy activities. This position provides daily direction to the comprehensive care provided by the Center for Grief, Education and Healing for Wilshire Hospice. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related field is preferred, at least one year experience in hospice, bereavement or grief work is required.

Bereavement Counselor - Per Diem 

Wilshire Hospice's Center for Education and Grief Therapy is accepting applications for a per diem Bereavement Counselor. Under the direction and supervision of the Bereavement Manager, the Bereavement Counselor develops and coordinates the Hospice Bereavement program including bereavement follow‐up, risk assessment, information and referrals, and patient advocacy activities. 

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  •   A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology or related field is preferred. 

  •   Minimum one year experience in hospice, bereavement or grief work is required.

RN Nurse - Hospice - Full Time, 11-8 Shifts & Full Time Case Manager

Wilshire Hospice is always accepting applications for RN Nurses in our San Luis Obispo & Northern Santa Barbara County service areas. We offer independence and flexible schedules, competitive pay and mileage reimbursement. Current CA license, CPR-certification and recent clinical experience required, home health experience preferred. Our agency supports progressive technology and uses a tablet-based electronic records system, therefore a willingness to learn our software program is essential.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Current CA RN License
  • Current CA driver license and auto insurance.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Med Surg.
  • Hospice Experience preferred.
