Caring Hospice Volunteers Needed In Your Area

Wilshire Hospice is seeking caring individuals to be Hospice In-Home Volunteers. Attend a meaningful twenty-hour volunteer training program (Dates TBA). The training is held in San Luis Obispo, but volunteers are needed in all areas of San Luis Obispo County and especially in North Santa Barbara County. Spanish-speaking volunteers are also needed. Hospice in-home volunteers provide support and companionship for Hospice patients and their families.  This Training affords you with an opportunity for personal growth while equipping you with the skills you will need for a meaningful volunteer experience. Volunteers are also needed for office assistance, mailings and fundraising events - minimal training necessary.

Wilshire Hospice is a local not for profit Hospice that offers a comprehensive In-Home Hospice program to terminally ill individuals and their families: including visits from nurses, social workers, spiritual counselors, therapeutic musicians, home health aides, dietitians, grief and bereavement counselors and volunteers.  The goal is to provide all the things that terminally ill patient’s and their families need most: freedom from pain, emotional and spiritual support and the ability to control the direction of their own care.
