Formerly Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, Wilshire Hospice has been serving the community since 1998. Patients and their loved ones often comment on how they wished they’d started hospice services sooner. Our vision is to provide patients and their families with comprehensive, compassionate care that relieves undue suffering and pain from the moment of their diagnosis. We believe everyone has the right to die pain-free and with dignity.

Who pays for hospice?
Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medi-Cal and most private insurance plans. The services of Wilshire Hospice are available to all eligible patients and families regardless of their ability to pay.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo
The day will begin with a traditional processional at 10am, followed by a festive, family-friendly main event with decorated altars, traditional dances, mariachi music, poets, artists and sellers, art and crafts activities, educational talks, costume and altar contests, Mexican food and beverages, decorating of sugar skulls (and more) at SLOMA, and a silent auction and raffle to benefit Wilshire Hospice patients and clients.
LIVING WITH DYING WORKSHOP
Saturday, November 18th at the Wilshire Offices (285 South Street, SLO)
A time for meaningful conversation around death and dying.
LIGHT UP A LIFE
Wednesday November 1st (North and South County) & Thursday November 2nd (San Luis Obispo)
Honor and remember your loved one this holiday season by lighting a light in their memory. Following LUAL there with be a traditional Dia de los Muertos procession.
